The Hong Kong District Ambassadors not only encouraged local members to attend the international conference, but took the initiative to be role models in participation as well as facilitate business networking for members to maximise the value of their trip.
Their action speaks to one of the core values of BNI, the spirit of being a Giver.
Cherish-able Moments
Among the 30 plus attending countries, BNI Hong Kong was awarded for its continuously increasing membership and the number of business deals concluded. The most touching aspect was when its leaders brought all Hong Kong attendees on stage to receive the honour, celebrating success together and striving for the best during these tough economic times.
Also impressive was the cross-country sharing sessions. Hong Kong leaders arranged sessions with counterparts in Germany, Shenzhen and Taiwan, as leaders from each region shared their experiences selflessly while participants keenly listened and learned. Many were also keen to ask inquisitive questions resulting in very fruitful and informative discussions. BNI’s core value of Givers’ Gain of BNI is clearly alive and strong as leaders endeavoured to pass on their knowledge at every turn.
